Pittsburgh is about to get its first medical marijuana dispensary.
The Solevo Wellness location in Squirrel Hill is on track to open its doors in January. The team is growing with 10 hires already in place, including new General Manager Rocco Levine. WTAE caught up with Rocco and COO Sam Britz for a progress update and a peak at the construction progress. Check out the video from our dispensary over at WTAE.
Education is a critical part of patient care for the Pittsburgh medical marijuana community, and that is especially true for Solevo Wellness. That is why patient care consultants will be available to answer questions and provide guidance for patients and caregivers when the dispensary opens its doors. Medical marijuana will not be available until February, so the initial weeks will be exclusively focused on providing these free resources to the Pittsburgh community.
As Rocco says, “this isn’t just a simple medicine that anyone can pick up.”
2018 brings the promise of choice as many Pittsburghers will now have a new option for treatment. For those who have qualifying conditions and are interested in cannabis, one big decision is which dispensary to use. Solevo Wellness expects to be the first to open, but we know we won’t be the only medical marijuana dispensary in the area. No matter what, we’ll be here to provide helpful, friendly, and informed support for our patients.
